Your text never leaves your browser
ClearPen analyzes your writing entirely on your own device, using JavaScript that runs in your browser. The text you paste is never uploaded, transmitted, or stored on any server. There is no account, no login, and no database. When you close the tab, the analysis is gone.
What is stored on your device
For convenience, the most recent text you entered is saved in your browser's local storage — a small store that lives only on your computer or phone — so your work is still there if you return. It is never sent anywhere and you can clear it any time with the "Clear" button or by clearing your browser data.
Analytics
If analytics is enabled, this site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-first and cookieless: it measures page views and general traffic without fingerprinting you, without cookies, and without collecting personal data. It never has access to the text you analyze. If analytics is not enabled, the site makes no third-party requests at all.

Cookies
ClearPen sets no advertising or tracking cookies. The only data kept on your device is the local-storage copy of your last text, described above.
